Mary Mother of Good Counsel School Emerges Victorious in Bishop Bowers School's 50th Anniversary Quiz Competition

 


Accra, Ghana – February 2025 – The highly anticipated 50th Anniversary Inter-School Quiz Competition, hosted by Bishop Bowers School in Lartebiokorshie, concluded in an electrifying contest of intellect and knowledge. The competition brought together some of the best schools in the region, each vying for the prestigious championship title.


After four intense rounds covering English Language & Christian Living, Mathematics, Science & ICT, and Social Studies & General Knowledge, it was Mary Mother of Good Counsel School that emerged triumphant with a stunning total score of 72+3 points, securing the championship title.


Their closest competitor, Christ the King International School, finished with an impressive 72 points, making it a tight race for the top spot. Corpus Christi Catholic School also put up a strong performance, securing third place with 62.5 points.


The host school, Bishop Bowers School, fought valiantly, earning 55 points, while St. Theresa’s School, North Kaneshie, and St. Bernadette Soubirous School ended with 56 and 57 points, respectively.


The competition was a thrilling display of academic excellence, with students showcasing deep knowledge across various subjects. The battle was especially fierce in the Science & ICT round, where Mary Mother of Good Counsel School dominated with an impressive 25 points, setting them apart from the competition.


Teachers, parents, and students cheered passionately as the contestants displayed remarkable intelligence, critical thinking, and teamwork. The event also served as an opportunity to celebrate 50 years of academic excellence at Bishop Bowers School, with organizers expressing pride in the high standards maintained by all participating schools.


At the end of the event, the winning team was awarded a trophy, and all contestants were commended for their hard work and dedication.
